Zoë Eitel
Managing Editor, Editor
BIO:
"I've written multiple stories in the past on some people in the LGBT but only a couple specifically on the QIA+ community, so it was nice to be able to spend a lot of time and work more in depth on stories bringing visibility to the QIA+ community. I love entertainment, beauty and culture writing, so in the future I'd like to work at a magazine like Billboard or Glamour as an editor. A quote that I live by is 'Hakunah Matata' —Timon and Pumbaa"

Editor, Copy Chief, Social Media Editor
BIO:
"I never pictured myself as a patient person until working on this gallery. A motto that I live by is 'If God brings you to it, he will bring you through it.' I love journalism because it gives me a platform to reach people on ay topic. A fun fact about myself is that when I was younger I always wanted to dress and act like a little boy so one day I went to elementary school with a banana in my pants. I know, super embarrassing.

Alexandria Munoz
Editor, Multimedia Editor
BIO:
"There are a couple things that I have learned from working on this gallery. I think time management is crucial in this field, and communication is key when collaborating with others. Some of my career goals would be to eventually be an editor of a publication.
Overall, I would like to work for a magazine either with sports or lifestyle. A fun fact about myself is that I am left handed, so I, among other fellow 'lefties' make up about 10% of the population."

"The reason is love journalism would have to be the feeling. It’s wonderful when I come across a story that captures all of the elements that make a story come to life and it takes me somewhere else. Personally I’d love to see myself working on stories that cover immigration. As a daughter of immigrant parents, I feel a sense of responsibility and duty to get people’s voices heard. A fun fact about myself is that I’m like a walking encyclopedia when it comes to music. I spend most of my money on concert tickets. It’s kind of embarrassing."

Writer
BIO:
"I love journalism because I’ve always been a bit of a know-it-all, always ready to offer sometimes new and occasionally interesting tidbits of information to anyone who would listen. I’ve always considered myself a writer. Journalism gives me the opportunity to do both. A fun fact about myself is that my dog, Bella, is named after Bellatrix Lestrange. A specific moto that I live by is, 'Live and let live.'"

"Through this project, I’ve learned I could be persistent. I’ve also learned there are so many more ways to tell a story than what I had originally thought. I love journalism because there is no single way of writing, and there are so many ways to express research and truth for readers. My career goals are ever changing, but I hope to work in communications or marketing."

"I enjoy long walks on the beach with a bottle of Welch’s sparkling grape juice, my dog and my computer by my side. I have extensive knowledge about technology and video games. If I could go anywhere in the world, I’d chose Japan. After graduation in May, I hope to write for a technology-based publication and stay living in downtown Chicago. Or maybe not… who knows?"

Diamond Brown
Writer
BIO:
"From this project, I've learned that I really enjoy telling other's stories. I hope to write for an online publication as a multimedia editor. I really enjoy writing, creating interactive content and brainstorming ways to make journalism a relevant medium down the road from now. I write a lot of personal essays for a few sites. During the process of writing them, I notice they give me a better reflection of myself and they reassure me that life isn't so bad after all. I become proud of these pieces because I have people email me or tweet me saying they related to my story or the piece made them reflect on their own lives. It's reassuring to know that my work can help other people come to terms with the way their own lives are going."
